Usually when I start a novel with grammar as bad as this one I'll just stop reading it. I was curious where this was going, so I continued. Books like this are why self-publishing doesn't work. It's obvious by the grammatical and spelling errors that this one was never edited. Sentences were chopped up and some made absolutely no sense. When I got to the end it just stopped. It made no sense to end it the way it was done. Please have your work edited in the future.

A well written story, especially considering it was the author's first published work. I like my stories dark and gritty and this didn't disappoint. I especially liked the main character Nepolai.
The Black Heart definitely captures your attention from the beginning. You know that there’s more to Nepolai’s character than what you are reading. The author has a knack for keeping you in suspense throughout the story. I love how Nepolai senses a connection with Rylan and that his promise to Bexley really makes you feel the dark side of The Black Heart. My only disappointment is that it ended. Looking forward to reading the next one!! This author is definitely a force to be reckoned with!!
It is dark and twisted and a good story. I don’t know how o feel about bexley and how I feel about how it ended. We shall see how the next book goes.
I really liked the story line. The author should really do more proof reading and maybe enlist the help of beta readers. The errors were so numerous. The story about the heart was fine but I'm not sure why she went about it that way it is not like you can walk into a hospital with a heart in a cooler and demand a operation but oh well. I wish a little bit more about the main character and Nora would have been explained.

This is a dark disturbing murder thriller with overtones of cannibalism. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Pro It is a short book, more of a novella, just a little over 100 pages. The premise is okay, if this is what the reader likes. I found this to be more horror than crime.

Con Definitely needs some editing... words are misspelled, incorrect grammar. The beginning was alright .. then it became something else entirely. The ending was rather abrupt and didn't make a lot of sense to me.
